Good Faith Estimate
One of the most important values for us at Pinellas Psychology is to be transparent regarding both the services we provide and the costs associated with offering those services to you. Since we are a fee-for-service practice, for those individuals with healthcare coverage, we are considered to be an out-of-network provider. Our office fully complies with the federal “No Surprises Act”, enacted in 2022.
In compliance with the “No Surprises Act”, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protections against surprise billing.
We will to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services associated with seeking treatment at our office. As you might imagine, it can be difficult to determine the true length of treatment for mental health care, and each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate in mental health care. Therefore, once you book an appointment with a therapist at our office, you will find a fee schedule for the services typically offered by your therapist. We will collaborate with you on a regular basis to determine how many sessions you may need based on your individual goals.
Keep in mind, that you can choose to get care from a provider or facility in your health plan’s network, which may cost you less. It is our goal to provide you high quality services, with full transparency and definitely no surprise costs! I mean, we may all like surprises at times, but not the kind that cost you extra money!
If you choose to seek treatment from our office, we will notify you in writing of your expected costs and ask you to sign a form agreeing to those charges before your appointment.
