Carly Cropsey, M.A.
Carly specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns. She has a particular passion for early intervention and enjoys helping young people build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive at home, at school, and in their relationships. Her clinical interests include anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental concerns, and trauma-related difficulties.
Carly brings experience in both therapy and comprehensive psychological assessment, with training across a range of clinical settings and diverse populations. She draws from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and interpersonal therapy (IPT). She tailors treatment to each client’s developmental level, individual strengths, and goals.
Carly’s approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a space where children and teens feel comfortable being themselves while developing practical skills that translate beyond the therapy room. She also values partnering with parents and caregivers, recognizing the important role families play in supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Carly earned her master’s degree in psychology and is currently completing advanced doctoral training in clinical psychology. Her professional interests in child and adolescent mental health and eating disorders extend beyond her clinical work, and she holds leadership roles in both the Child and Adolescent and Eating Disorder Interest Groups within her doctoral program.
Outside of her professional work, Carly enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, being outdoors, and staying active. A longtime dancer, she trained competitively throughout her youth and continues to have a strong appreciation for dance and the performing arts.
