• Kristi Cole, LCSW

Hi, I am Kristi Cole and I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, young adults and their families navigate life.  I have spent over 13 years working with kids and teens from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of treatment needs. My specialty is helping kids and teens manage life challenges such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, school issues, behavior concerns, neurodiverse minds, and helping guide individuals into young adulthood.

Sometimes the pressure of parenting can become overwhelming and even frustrating, especially if you aren’t quite sure how to help your child.  As a therapist, I believe in the saying that it often “takes a village” to help kids develop and mature into successful adults.   I truly believe that my role is to develop a partnership with you to help achieve peace and balance for your family.

One of my strengths is being able to build a strong rapport with others, even those who are more guarded.   I use a nonjudgmental, solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy approach while providing a safe space.  I also like to incorporate humor and play into sessions when appropriate.  Isn’t it easier to relax and open up when you are having fun?

When I am not in the office you can find me riding horses, working with my dog, spending time with my family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, or reading a book.  My husband and I love spending time exploring the outdoors (especially in the mountains), spoiling our “furry four-legged kids”, and traveling when time allows. Also, during football season, you can find me cheering on my Florida Gators.
